RCCL - direct tender activities?

Are there any activities in Belize we can do with direct tender from RCCL or do we always have to go via the port? I suppose its a dumb question to ask if they all have to be booked through the cruise line...

 

I have a small child and my husband will be off with my older kids and if there is something that we can do that isn't too far and won't strand us somewhere for hours I would ideally like an escape plan from the ship in case Im feeling stir crazy. So far a lot of the options sound scary, like being on a tiny island with no shade for hours. We cannot snorkel given my little one.
