emmacruises00 Posted April 12, 2014 #1 Share Posted April 12, 2014 This is pretty late, but better late than never! We sailed back in December and had an amazing trip! Sorry, my pictures are not uploading properly. Hopefully I will have them up soon, but sadly, I forgot about taking food pics  A little background on our family: We have the happily married couple, Rob and Carrie, and we'll say they're middle-aged (; then we have the kids: Emma (13 at the time), Lily (8 at the time) and Calvin (6 mos at the time). We also traveled with the grandparents, Ken and Jan. We had 2 gluten-free passengers in our party. We did not mark them as gluten-free on our booking because we are not CRAZY sensitive, and I wanted to try some stuff with gluten in it and I knew I wouldn't be able to if I was marked as GF. Now on to the good stuff (: Embarkation: I don't quite remember the time we got to PCC, but I know we were there as soon as we could be. Maybe 10:00 A.M.? We waited in line for awhile until the ship was cleared and ready for boarding. We got through security and waited for a desk to be ready to take our photos for SeaPass cards and get us checked in. As I mentioned earlier, we had a baby, so we had a stroller. We had the nice surprise of being able to go through different doors and straight onto the ship after check in, since we had the stroller. What a nice surprise! The Ship: My first impression of the ship was "WOW!!!" we had been on Liberty and Navigator, so she felt very familiar to us (: We stopped and had lunch at Cafe Promenade. YUM! We explored the ship and went up to the pool. H2O Zone was so neat to look at! We had fun with the pool and H20 Zone. Very fun! We headed to get ready for our first dinner and see the cabins. Our cabins were connecting inside cabins on the 8th deck. They were just your typical inside cabins, nothing too special. My only complaint was that the beds in both cabins were together even though we requested them be separate on the booking (though, this is typical). When we asked that they be separated, our cabin stewardess took the egg crates off, which made the beds not so comfy. We later got this taken care of, but I would recommend that you get this taken care of immediately if the egg crate is something you want, not wait until the next day. We met our waiters, Kirk (from Jamaica) and assistant Silroy (from India), at dinner that night. They were WONDERFUL! Kirk photo-bombed a picture we were taking and we knew we would have great service that week (: He was very efficient! Our courses were always out in a very timely manner. I don't think we ever waited more than 7 minutes between courses coming out. He was so good with Calvin, too! The ship itself was in beautiful condition. They were replacing the green flooring/mats up by the H20 Zone while we were there, so we had to wait a few days to get up there and play around. We had the one and only Richard Spacey for our CD. In 14 cruises, I have never had a better CD than him! We had so much fun watching his "TV show" called 'The Space Station'. Thank you to Spacey for making our cruise PHENOMENAL! That's a short review of our cruise (: Hope you enjoyed!
