current weather CPH, Oslo, etc.

I'll be arriving in CPH on Saturday. seeing lots of rain in the forecast. can anyone tell me how hard it's raining? is it going to be difficult to walk around and enjoy the city, or is it more of a light drizzle easy to ignore. will I be miserable in my sandals (special ones made for walking)? should I bring boots? need some guidance, as I'm supposed to start packing. thanks!

Definitely bring rain gear, a warm sweater and jacket and sensible shoes preferably with gore-tex lining to walk around the city.

There are heavy rains and high winds predicted for the weekend in all of Northern Europe.

We have just finished packing for our trip to Hamburg and Oslo this weekend and have grumblingly packed warmer clothes, jackets etc. because it's the first temperature drop and predicted torrents of rain after a 6-week-long sunny and warm spell...:(

Nevertheless enjoy your time in beautiful Copenhagen and Oslo!

Oslo has been a pretty steady drizzle for the past few days. This morning there was sleet. :(

 

It hasn't rained hard enough to get in the way of anything. A lot of locals can't even be bothered to wear hoods or use umbrellas. I've been wearing a thicker trench-style rain coat (as opposed to a thin rain shell) over a medium-weight sweater.

 

It never gets especially windy in Oslo, but there have been some strong (for Oslo) gusts over the last few days that have felt quite cold since we're not used to it. I tend to wear a pashmina-style scarf around my neck when I need a little extra warmth.
