Half Moon Cay Stingray Excursion

We had scheduled snorkeling, but it was cancelled due to "rough seas". (Not rough at all--we heard the guide overslept. ?) Anyway, we were able to rebook the stingray encounter. We had recently been on Stingray Beach in Grand Cayman, and while this was much different, it was still a lot of fun.

The stingrays are corralled in an area with nets, and are more like pets. We had a few minutes to snorkel around, then an employee gathered everyone in a circle and where we fed, petted, and played with the stingrays. She had a fun sense of humor and we all enjoyed it. Even the non-swimmers had a great time since we were standing in water just above the waist and they had floaties for non-swimmers to hold onto. It's only about an hour, and it wasn't too expensive. Fun time for people of all ages and abilities!
