New Shore Excursions through Carnival

I noticed today on the Carnival website that there are several new shore excursions to Roatan. There are three at a place called Coral Cay. You can either just go there, kayak or snorkel. Wondering if anyone has been there yet? Also, could you just go there on your own. All excursions indicate that food and drink are at your own expense.

Hey PhotoCruiser,

How did you get the little white boat/ship into the neck of the corona bottle in your photo? Or is that a picture from an advertisment? Pretty clever.

Would you recommend going to Coral cay on your own or through the cruise excursion? We love to snorkel, drink (beer and local mixes), and have a good time on the beach. We'll be there in February.

Thanks

Karen

Hey Karen,

The white sailboat in the bottle was a snorkle boat that was just outside Coral Cay. I used a Photoshop technique to make it appear in the neck of the Corona bottle.

Coral Cay is a laidback little resort. You can kayak, snorkle, or lay on the beach. They have great Shrimp Kebobs and live music. Granted it ain't Senor Frogs or Carlos and Charlies, but it is very relaxing. They have lockers to store your stuff while snorkeling or laying out. They also have a gift shop. There are mangroves that are neat, and there are shipwrecks too! You can see one in the background of my photo.

Greyline tours can be reached to do your own excursion. Do a Google on them and Coral Cay.

Hope this helps.
