I would rather do (work OT), then have to save and budget for a trip. It takes me a lot less time/effort to work the OT then have to worry about budgeting etc.. It works for us. chester32 Posted June 6, 2014 #27 Share Posted June 6, 2014 We take 1 cruise a year which is paid for by me giving up smoking , my wife takes the money that I would have spent on cigarette's out of my pay each week and puts in a holiday account,by the end of the year more than enough for us to take a cruise. I can usually max out the amount of OT for any given pay period. Plus, them still posting a ton more hours available. Thats why it works for us and I take advantage of it.
