Katmarha Posted July 6, 2014 #2 Share Posted July 6, 2014 That's a great question I was thinking about renting one, but not sure if it might get too hot in the shell.. Anyone with some insight? Sent from my iPhone using Forums
Ontario_Cruiser Posted July 7, 2014 #3 Share Posted July 7, 2014 Last year when we were there they were $20. There is a spot just to the left of the pier where there is a bunch of them folded up - go there and the guy will set you up. We chose not to spend as we found chairs in the shade so I can not answer how hot they are.
Itzmyn Posted July 14, 2014 #4 Share Posted July 14, 2014 Rented one in May while we were on the Conquest. The shell will cover 2 loungers. It was around 82 degrees the day we were there and it did get very stuffy inside the shell.
Nik Posted August 19, 2014 #5 Share Posted August 19, 2014 I've looked at some pics of the beach area and it doesn't appear to have alot of shade, nor do I see any umbrella's. Anyone been there lately and know's if this is correct? We will be in port in December from 7 am until 2pm and would like to spend most of the day on the beach, but need some shade. My hubby burns fairly easily, and I'm not sure that a clamshell will provide enough shade. Thanks in advance for any info.
