Panama cruise - full transit with mobility scooter

Recommended Posts

My husband and myself are booked on a full transit Panama cruise this winter. He travels with a small mobility scooter but can walk up and down steps of a bus or van or in a building.

Has anyone used a private tour service in any of these cities.

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - Huatulco, Mexico - Guatamala, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Cartegena - Colombia? Does anyone know how difficult these cities will be?

Thank you

For Puerto Vallarta, we always use this company for a van with a lift. They can arrange a tour, or just transport you to/from the Mallacon (which is the main part of town with shops, etc.).

We take a manual chair though. The available ramps (curb cuts) are very steep in places, and many shops do not have a ramp, requiring bumping up a step or two (with assistance).

It sounds like he may also be able to use a cab, and fold the scooter or wheelchair to place in the trunk (for an automobile, not van, cab).
