cowgrlkirby Posted July 18, 2014 #1 Share Posted July 18, 2014 OK so I have been cruising for a while and have yet to figure out the cabin categories. I hate feeling about a big doof when I see people talking about upgrades and cabin selections. I thought that an inside cabin was and inside cabin and so on a so forth:rolleyes: I'm in need of some spalianin'...lol:D
Not_Done_Living Posted July 18, 2014 #2 Share Posted July 18, 2014 i'm with you -- all i know is GS (grand suite). but apparently there are 10 types of suites, some with balconies some without -- and an inside should be a inside -- shrug.

JLee1973 Posted July 18, 2014 #4 Share Posted July 18, 2014 Allot of it has to do with the deck a room is on. I'm in an 8J on my upcoming cruise on deck 6. Last cruise same ship same type of room on deck 7 and it was an 8K. No difference in the room. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
ragethjj23 Posted July 18, 2014 #5 Share Posted July 18, 2014 I don't know all/any of them. All I know is that on the valor on my next, well first, cruise I am in a 6k. The grand scenic oceanview cabin on the Lido deck. Super excited by the pics I have seen!
HawkIVette Posted July 18, 2014 #6 Share Posted July 18, 2014 (edited) I can't say that I got it all figured out, but I get it something like this. 4 is for interior ( with 1 for upper/lower interior) 6 is for Ocean view 8 is for balcony 9 is for suites Then starting lower in the ship, you will find A & B with B more midship As you go higher decks, you will find maybe C & D with D more midship. But basically, room is the same for interior to interior. Just higher deck equals different letter ( E higher than an A) Edited July 18, 2014 by HawkIVette
4Tacos Posted July 18, 2014 #7 Share Posted July 18, 2014 Check out cruisedeckplans dot com. It helped me learn a lot about room categories and locations. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Forums mobile app
