Conquest vs Breeze?

I am trying to decide between these two ships for a cruise in March. The Breeze is a little bit more expensive but the ports are relatively the same. The only difference is the Breeze goes out of Miami and the Conquest is out of Ft. Lauderdale.

 

Because we will have to fly into Ft. Lauderdale either ship we choose, I am wondering if the hassle from FL to the Miami port is worth it.

 

Anyone have any opinions on that?

 

BTW, we have cruised the Ecstasy and twice on the Legend if that gives you an idea on what we have been on in the past. Of course we have not experienced the new 2.0 such as the burger joint etc. yet.

For me, I would rather do the Breeze. Both ships have the poor stage shows in the theater, both have Girls Burgers & Blue Iguana cantina. Breeze has the free pasta bar for lunch instead of fish n chips. I prefer that pasta bar. It becomes an extra pay restaurant at night. Breeze has an amazing waterpark, with 2 large slides plus a big splash factory. Much better than Conquest's 1 slide. Breeze has the ropes course, plus the 4D theater (costs extra). Breeze has a nice serenity area, and I don't even see one on Conquest.

 

Many people hype the Breeze up way too much around here. Don't let them send your expectations through the roof, and you won't be disappointed. She is still a great ship, just not Carnival's best, nor is she the greatest invention in the history of mankind. But certainly better than Conquest.
