Northwest Strike?

Anyone know the status of the Northwest in regards to the mechanic strike?

Did they strike? If so, has it affected air travel?

They voted to authorize a strike about three weeks ago which started the 30 day "cooling off period". The earliest they can strike is Aug 19 or 20. They're starting another round of talks in DC today.
