Flight up grade is it worth it

Depends upon how you and those with you can deal with an 8 or so hours flight.

That is to consider how much space you'd like, perhaps slightly better service and, possibly better meals.

Only you can decide, because those who always upgrade will say it's worth it and those who don't will say not doing so gives them more spend on the cruise.

"You pays your money..."

One way to think about it is whether you consider the flight is the start of your holiday or a means to be endured to get to your holiday.

in premium you get more legroom and a slightly wider seat, you get a pre takeoff drink, a 4 course meal served on china which you can choose from a menu, choices are: salmon/curry or risotto, on inbound flights you get dinner & a full english breakfast and a newspaper

you get 23k luggage allowance and free select your seat, you also get free access to fast track security at gatwick (dunno about other airports)

you get a pamper pack (socks/eyemask/lip balm etc)

in flight entertainment is the same as economy....cabin service in premium is the same

they have a free open bar in economy too from this november

premium upgrade prices can vary widely? from about £200 to over £500pp so it depends on what you are paying as to wether its good value or not

Dreamliner is quite spacious in economy, higher ceilings and 'not bad' legroom imo

the flight is slightly quicker than the B767 .....about 20 minutes quicker to barbados....if its not held over barbados?? which it usually is, problem being that all the thoms usually arrive at about the same time (except for manchester which is always late:confused::rolleyes: ?)

dreamliner is quieter and economy seats have the same 9" seat back, pause & play tv's as they have in premium....so imo no point in upgrading to premium on dreamliner (unless its dirt cheap)

probably still a case for upgrading if you are on one of the clunky old B767's if you can get the upgrade at a 'reasonable' price
