Distance to Gouveneurs Beach from Gustavia

Does anyone know how far it is from Gustavia to Gouveneur's Beach? What would a taxi charge? I read that there's a restaurant right near the beach that is very good.

 

Distance to St Jean's beach? Taxi fare?

It takes about 10 perhaps 15 minutes to drive from Gustavia to Gouverneur, depending on where in Gustavia you start.

 

A taxi will charge you 30-60 euros one way, depending on the season. You have to book a return also as there won't be taxis at the beach when you want to leave. Given the taxi prices in Saint Barth, it is usually cheaper to rent your own car.

 

There is no food nor any other facilities by Gouverneur beach. There is a nice restaurant, Le Santa Fe, about 3/4 mile away, but it is up the very very steep hill leading to theh beach. Not walkable. Another reason to rent a car.

Thanks for information. We rented a car last time we were in St Barts, but thought as we're tight for time and need to catch a tender back to the ship, a taxi would be better. Guess not!
