Connecticutcruiser Posted November 9, 2014 #1 Share Posted November 9, 2014 We have booked the Oceania Nautica and are trying to figure out where the ship will dock in both Bangkok and Saigon/Ho Chi Minh City. If anyone has specific experience with Oceania, your comments would be appreciated. Thank you!
cathi Posted November 11, 2014 #2 Share Posted November 11, 2014 It's been a while but in Bangkok we were right up the river near the heart of the city. It was quite an experience just making our way up the river! In Saigon - again we sailed up the Mekong right into the middle of the city. We walked from the ship to the huge market, saw the Rex hotel, the post office (it's beautiful), etc. Hopefully Nautica will continue to go the rivers into these beautiful places. You will love.

We were on the Nautica last February. Our experience was the same as this poster's. We were near the city centers in both cites. Sailing up the rivers was amazing.
