MnLorax26 Posted December 10, 2014 #1 Share Posted December 10, 2014 Does anyone know what Royal Caribbean does for the Superbowl? And in particular, what they will do when it falls on the second cruise night, which I believe would normally be a formal night?
lexingtonave Posted December 10, 2014 #2 Share Posted December 10, 2014 I have sailed on three cruises during Super Bowl. They were all southern Caribbean, Serenade, Jewel and Adventure. The game was on the big screen in the theater. We saw the whole game, but no commercials. A super bowl "feast" was set up behind the seats, nachos, hamburgers, hot dogs, etc. On one of the cruises a raffle was held almost every time there was a time out, or commercial break. On one cruise they changed formal night, but on another they kept formal night, so I can't be much help with this. Have fun and enjoy the game. MnLorax26 Posted December 10, 2014 Author #3 Share Posted December 10, 2014 Thanks! I guess we'll have to wait and see what they do about formal night.
molly361 Posted December 10, 2014 #4 Share Posted December 10, 2014 Don't know about formal night but on the Liberty a few years ago there was a lot of TV's and a buffet where the ice rink is. There was also a party in the On Air club They even had a Superbowl pool (the kind where you buy squares) It was a lot of fun
negc Posted December 10, 2014 #5 Share Posted December 10, 2014 When we were on Jewel of the Seas a few years back, they showed the Super Bowl game on the Tvs in the various lounges, in the theater, and on the TV in our stateroom (all complete with the national advertisements- only advertisements dropped in by local tv outlets were blacked out). There were a variety of sports-associated snack foods (nachos, hot dogs, chips etc.). Should not matter if the game falls on a "formal" night since the dress code is simply a suggestion and people are free to dress however they wish.
