Old San Juan Walking Tour at Night

We will be on IOS 9/13/15 and our first stop is San Juan. I want to do the guided Old San Juan walking tour but since we arrive at 4pm what will they show us? I heard the fort closes at 5pm so by the time we arrive there we won't have much time. I guess my question is has anyone done the guided walking tour late afternoon instead of in the morning.

Yes we did the 4pm tour in December. You don't go to the fort, you walk a circular route from the old courthouse, up the hill to the left, and up and down a number of streets back by the SJ "whitehouse" before ending at the Old Brewery. We stopped at 5 places to sample drinks and have small bites of local foods. We were STUFFED by the time it ended. The mufongo was fantastic.
