I will be leaving in three weeks aboard BOS from Barcelona. I was wondering about changing money on the ship into Euros. Is that possible? Also in Venice I read there was a certain water bus route that you could take and it would do the entire Grand Canal and bring you back to the same spot, but I have forgotten the number and can't seem to find that thread. One more question please, does anyone know the name of a restaurant close to St. Mark's square. We need to meet some friends at a easy to find location. How long does the Doge secret tour take?

Thanks for all your help

Relax! Yes, you can change bucks into euros on the ship, and the rate is pretty good. (Aug. 15th, it was 1.29, you can also get all the euros you need in barcelona or rome or venice at bank instantellers machines. Look for the green ones for best rates. In venice, the grand canal is big, lots of rough water. I would just go down to where all the gondolas are, and you will find a good trip and rate, around 80 euros for about an hour in the small canals, its great. you won't want to hang out on the grand canal. The Brillance is a great ship. Make sure you dine at least one night in Chops, the prime rib there is better than the main dining room, and to die for! Go up to the top of the Columbus monument in Barcelona, there is a elevator, door is on the ocean side, on the left side. In dubrovnik, walk the wall, its pretty impressive, and use the headphones. In naples, the amalfi coast tour is a must do. The views will take your breath away. The casino onboard is also a great place, nice dealers, my favorite online casino out of ten cruises. Rome is also awsome, so much to see. St. Peters Bascillica is amazing. Pisa is great too, to finally see that tower lean. Maybe the most famous mistake in the world. enjoy!!!!!
