Fun4Brenda Posted September 1, 2005 #1 Share Posted September 1, 2005 Are booked on the Holiday, three cabins, traveling with young adults cruising for the first time, so cost was a big factor and they wanted to drive, not fly. Does anyone think the interstate between Jackson and Mobile will be open by Friday afternoon or is this just wishful thinking? Tried to rebook on another ship out of Galveston, but Ectasy and Sensation both are overbooked. Read lots of people got a cheap deal on those ships, wished Carnival would have considered its previously booked guests before releasing cabins at such a discount as Galveston would have worked MUCH better for the six of us. richcrow Posted September 1, 2005 #2 Share Posted September 1, 2005 Yes the Interstate is open from Jackson to Mobile, but I would make sure that you top off your gas tank before you get to Mobile. We are expierencing somewhat of a shortage in fuel right now. It should be taken care of before the weekend, but I wouldn't chance it. The cruise terminal is fine.
