Bar service in MDR

Did those of you that never saw bar staff ask your waiter or assistant waiter for service?

We did. We only did the MDR 3 out of 7 nights because it ended up being easier for us to eat at the buffet between kids, time schedules, etc. Our waiter wasn't the most personable to begin with either.

Never had that problem, and we always have Anytime Dining.

Same for us. Anytime dining since it first became available and no problem getting a drink before-during or after our meal.

On our previous 4 Carnival cruises we always had the same problems you are all talking about.

 

Get to the MDR and ask for a drink and they say they will send the bar server, wait a while, finally order a drink....never get a chance to order that second one.

 

On the Splendor last month it was totally different.

 

Our waiter would take our order and turn it into the bar server. The server was always available to order again. If he wasn;t, our waiter would take the order.

 

We could order drinks and get them in a timely manor.

 

We could literally order as many drinks as we wanted during our MDR dinners.

 

Splendor is great!!
