Transfers from Galveston to Houston IAH

We'll be arriving back to Houston after our western caribbean cruise on the Magic. Since rental car places dont really exist near the port, we are planning to do Carnival transfers. The earliest option to buy online says its for flights between 1:30 and 7:30. Our flight is at 1:00. Does that mean the earliest we could get to the airport is 1:30? Or will there be shuttles running from when the boat gets in and we can just hop on one when we are ready?

THANKS!

Carnival assigns your debark zone based on your flight time. They recomend flights no earlier than 1:30, for insurance purposes. We just used them on our last cruise, had a 4:45 flight and our debark zone was 22. We left the Freedom at about 10 AM, through customs by 10:30 and on the bus. Arrived at airport by 11:45. Based on this, in my opinion, you should not have a problem. Also remember that Galveston sometimes has a fog problem that delays docking and disembarkation, the reason we scheduled a later flight.

I used used the Carnival transfer last week. $45pp I was ready to go when they first called, which was around 8am. The buses leave as they fill up. A full bus left just before us, and we left about 15 minutes later. We arrived at IAH in plenty of time for a 1pm flight.
