Cab Fare!!!

I think I have an easy question. What is the CAB FARE from Vancouver airport to Sutton Place Hotel, and how far from airport to hotel in miles?

From the Vancouver airport webpage:

 

Taxis charge a metered rate based on time and distance travelled, the approximate fare to downtown Vancouver is $23-$26 (inclusive of all taxes) under normal conditions.

I think it's about 15 miles. Should take 25 minutes or so.

It often depends on your driver as well, and the route he takes. I've paid as much as $30 to the airport and I live about $10 closer than the Sutton Place Hotel. Through my work I have to approve expense reports that often include taxi fare to the airport from Westin Bayshore or Pan Pacific (both are farther than the Sutton by a little) and often they are around $30-ish. (I guess that might include a tip?) In the past my hubby and I have gotten a limo service instead ... cost was the about the same.
