Just back from the Explorer and took the ships excursion to Cayo Levantado. Really enjoyed this beach, very beautiful, clean, with chairs and a bar nearby. There are some pushy locals selling things but if you have been to other islands like I have, you just learn how to ignore them or buy from them, whatever your interest is

 

This was definately a great beach day for us! However, snorkeling on this day was not good.

LisaWar - what happens if it's a rainy day and you're booked to go to cayo levantado - I was looking at the weather for samana for Monday March 23 - and it's showing clouds and rain! This is our first cruise.
