Not sure about European booking rules, but you may be able to do both. In other words, book on the ship and get whatever promo that affords, and also have the booking through a travel agent.

When you are on board and book a next cruise with the staff then they will clone your current booking you are sailing on and make a new booking with the same contact information, address and travel agency (If you used one).

Booking on board does have the advantage that you get OBC for your cruise.

(Select ship and saildate directly for a higher OBC).

There is one thing to watch out for. The Majority of the bookings made through RCCL is through the American market so all the staff are informed of the campaigns that the US have and might promise you a promotion that is not eligible for the European market. Usually we in Europe have similar but sometimes just different campaigns.

My advice for this is. Either have it written what campaign they offer on board OR make sure to ask him to write a remark about the campaign he offered.
