rayswoman Posted September 11, 2005 #1 Share Posted September 11, 2005 I want to find a recipe for it, but the name has slipped my mind now! It's ____ chocolate cake. The missing word starts with "c". It looks like cheesecake and I expected it to taste like that or mousse, but it was deceivingly decadent... Can anyone help fill in the blank? SheilaInAL Posted September 11, 2005 #2 Share Posted September 11, 2005 Was it the Champagne Chocolate Truffle Cake?
rayswoman Posted September 12, 2005 Author #3 Share Posted September 12, 2005 Was it the Champagne Chocolate Truffle Cake? Oooh, that sounds good, but that's not it. It's just the one word then chocolate cake. It seems to me it might have been the name of a place that started with C. Earlier today, I was thinking "Concord", but that's not it. Nicole721 Posted September 13, 2005 #4 Share Posted September 13, 2005 Flourless?
rayswoman Posted September 13, 2005 Author #5 Share Posted September 13, 2005 No, it started with a C. Looked like a chocolate cheesecake (They had decorated it with raspberries and white sugary things that looked like fingers, but this may vary). It was called C____ chocolate cake. rayswoman Posted September 26, 2005 Author #9 Share Posted September 26, 2005 Charlotte? That's not it either- This is driving me nuts! If I had had something with me to write with at the time I probably would have written it down... I have a Carnival cookbook and it's not in there either... Beckster Posted October 2, 2005 #10 Share Posted October 2, 2005 I love the flourless chocolate cake on the cruise ships. Its like a pie, but firmer, better then a pudding filling. It had raspberries on it!:D On one cruise the matre'de had them make one on another night just for our table...YUM !!!
rayswoman Posted October 5, 2005 Author #11 Share Posted October 5, 2005 I can't get the word "Concord" out of my head, but I really don't think that was it. I swear if I see it again I'll write it down next time, but we go so long between cruises that it's going to be awhile. My next chance is going to be May 06. chrystaldahl Posted November 13, 2005 #12 Share Posted November 13, 2005 could it be "chambord"? Sharyl
Cotton Posted November 13, 2005 #13 Share Posted November 13, 2005 I'm looking at a set of Carnival menus. The only chocolate cakes listed are: Swedish Almond Chocolate Cake Decadence of Chocolate Chocolate Fudge Cake Chocolate Gateau German Chocolate Cake
rayswoman Posted November 30, 2005 Author #14 Share Posted November 30, 2005 I'm looking at a set of Carnival menus. The only chocolate cakes listed are: Swedish Almond Chocolate Cake Decadence of Chocolate Chocolate Fudge Cake Chocolate Gateau German Chocolate Cake Well, it wasn't any of those. It was served in the lido restaurant, not in the dining room. This is driving me mad. Maybe I should just book another Elation cruise so I can find it again... LOL P.S... It's not chambord, unfortunately.

JudithEM Posted March 17, 2006 #16 Share Posted March 17, 2006 I vote for the FLOURLESS chocolate cake. Didn't sound appealing when I saw it on the menu (except for the CHOCOLATE part!), but when dish arrived... ummmm. Why do you think it started with a C?
