Nanaimo Tour Guide Posted September 19, 2005 #2 Share Posted September 19, 2005 Hi, Are your parents interested in nature, history or spirits? Try checking out www.naturepark.com/tours. This company offers quality gentle interpretive walking workshops from the dock. Their clients consistently rate them number one for knowledge, presentation and friendliness. I understand they will cater to seniors and plan for sitting at stops and short distances as well as for their interests. They also boast guides who are career naturalists with university degrees and are nationally certified interpretive guides. Hope that helps! Nanaimo Tour Guide Posted September 28, 2005 #3 Share Posted September 28, 2005 Hi, Your parents may also be interested in a new annual event planned so Mercury passengers can benefit. From 10am to the afternoon, there will be a cermeony and dance demonstrations using masks carved by local First nations people. Throughout the day there will also be native crafts and art on display. This will all take place about 3 blocks from the dock at the Port Place Mall. More info: www.ifirstnation.com
