Laundry - by the bag special

I know that there are washer and dryers on the ships and also laundry service which is generally priced per item. I have seen people talk about a by the bag special. I have not seen this on my previous carnival cruises. Any idea when it is offered. any chance that there is a by the bag price that you can ask for at anytime?

In my experience its the next to last day of the cruise. About $15 per bag. I can get a lot of clothes in one of those bags too. Usually comes back that evening as 2-3 bags. Just keep in mind don't send anything you care a lot about or has special laundering instructions.
