Disney Wonder - Dinner Dress?

Hello all - leaving in 2 weeks for an Alaskan cruise on the Wonder. We have heard that the dinner dress (first seating) prohibits tennis shoes, jeans, and shirts without a collar. Is this true? We are shopping for my 9 year-old son and I am curious how people dress for dinner.

Thank you!

I don't know where you heard this, but it is totally wrong. There is NO enforced dress code in the main dining rooms beyond no swimwear and you must have something on your feet. There is a "request" of no tank tops, but this is not enforced. There is a "suggested attire" for each night, but again, no enforcement at all.

MANY years ago, there was an unenforced request of no jeans, but this was eliminated long ago.

How sad. This is a very slippery slope from which there is no return. Soon to come, T Shirts, flip flops and shorts in Palo unless Maitre D has the courage to turn them away to return with attire appropriate to the venue. Unfortunately, many hotel directors do not give them that authority.

Jacko, I totally agree with you. In our experience, MOST of the time the Palo manager does enforce the dress code there. I did see him allow one of the theatre cast to eat in Palo in a dressy shorts outfit (she was with her family, it seemed). She looked great, but it was still shorts! Also, so far, Remy is enforced.

DCL was never good at enforcing their "requests" in the MDRs, but years ago most people did comply with the requests. Now, it is basically "anything goes."
