jamiehaas27 Posted July 6, 2015 #1 Share Posted July 6, 2015 I will be in San Juan for 3 days prior to my cruise and am planning on renting a car while I am there. Has anyone been to costco? Does Costco in PR sell wine and/or liquor like in the states?

jamiehaas27 Posted July 7, 2015 Author #3 Share Posted July 7, 2015 That was the answer I was hoping for! I love costco and love their wine/champagne prices. Very excited to hit up costco.
Aviator of the Seas Posted July 7, 2015 #4 Share Posted July 7, 2015 The two closest stores are about a 15 to 20 minute drive from the main tourist/cruise ship areas. This is the closest one: http://www.costco.com/warehouse-locations/carolina-san-juan-bairoa-ward-335.html Be aware, that if you're here on a Sunday, retail stores don't open until 11:00 AM and then close at 5:00 PM. RayInPR Posted July 7, 2015 #5 Share Posted July 7, 2015 Don't expect the same selection you're used to from home. And prices will probably be a little higher here. Plus 11.5% sales tax.

jamiehaas27 Posted July 8, 2015 Author #8 Share Posted July 8, 2015 Renting a jeep and plan to hit costco on way back from the rain forest...want to pick up some snacks, booze, and beach towels.
Aviator of the Seas Posted July 9, 2015 #9 Share Posted July 9, 2015 Except for the rum what?Prices? Selection? Sales tax? That rum here is much cheaper than in the states. And by the way, having come back from Scotland recently, Scotch Whiskey is much cheaper in Puerto Rico than in Scotland itself!
