Verizon smart rewards

Has anyone booked a cruise using Verizon smart rewards? I have only book on the carnival website so I am nervous. I would love to hear if you have had a good or bad experience with this.

I book on-line with Carnival but have used Verizon's Carnival Gift Cards in the past to pay for the cruise. Since my next cruise and gratuities are paid in full, I'm going to use the gift cards to fund the S&S account.

All the gift cards are sold out but the price of the cruise its self if almost $100 cheaper on the Verizon smart rewards website

To answer your question, no I have not booked thru Verizon for a cruise. I had talked to my husband about possibly doing this. We felt like too many things could go wrong, as booking thru Carnival PVP or TA it would be easier to correct any possible problems, IMHO.

That is my fear as well our cruise is for the 20th of this month so not a lot of time to make changes
