mriguySeattle Posted August 20, 2015 #1 Share Posted August 20, 2015 We're doing the Croatian coast soon on the Royal Clipper and have some questions about the on-board amenities: 1) Is there self-serve laundry or ironing? If not, does the ship's laundry provide pressing services (for clothes that don't need washing)? 2) Does anyone have a copy of a room service menu? 3) Do the pools contain fresh water or salt water? 4) Is there any outdoor dining or is it all in the main dining room? 5) Dos the ship typically dock or tender on this itinerary? The only port where we have other ships in port is Kotor, Montenegro. Thanks for your info!
Denarius Posted August 24, 2015 #2 Share Posted August 24, 2015 Sailed from Rome to Venice on Royal Clipper on I Aug. 1) No self service facilities, but both laundry and dry cleaning available. Not sure about ironing on its own. 2) Room service only available in suites. Have not seen menu. 3) Sea water 4)Only one dining room, no outdoor dining. 5) Tendered in all ports apart from Corfu. Corfu and Dubrovnik were the only ports in which we could in fact have docked, none of the others had appropriate facilities. In Dubrovnik we tendered from just outside the old town harbour, whereas cruise ships docked a couple of miles away. You will have a wonderful time on Royal Clipper - I know that I did - as long as you remember that she is a tall ship not a cruise ship. :)
mriguySeattle Posted August 25, 2015 Author #3 Share Posted August 25, 2015 Thanks for the info! Did the ship use the San Basilio pier in Venice? If so, do you recall if there were ample taxis waiting outside? We need to get to the airport as soon as we get off the ship. Thanks.
