Right at the exit of Puerto Maya pier is Alamo and a local rental agency. I have rented from both but am more comfortable renting from Alamo and pre-booking on their website. I have an suv reserved my my next cruise.

We're looking to rent a Jeep with some friends in Cozumel. I've read that in the past all Jeeps there had the 4-wheel drive disabled, or they were 2-wheel drive only (but that was 7 years ago). Does anyone here know the specifics on this? We don't want to climb mountains or run through the jungle, but we'd still like the 4x4. We were also looking at using Alamo (less than $100 including $0 deductible comp and collision). I've read good things about Ernesto's too. Any thoughts?

Just 790 hours before the horn blows and we pull away from the dock:)
