Cruise Line question

My family has previously sailed DCL (Magic Eastern) and my kids (now 4 and 7) loved it, as did dh and I. I am currently trying to plan a SUPRISE cruise for my family - for dh's 40th birthday next summer. Since it is a suprise, I am having to try and keep it as budget friendly as possible, so he doesn't notice. I have it narrowed down to a Carnival Conquest or Rhapsody of the Seas trip, both are about the same budget wise.... but after sailing Disney, I am not sure how these ships would go over. My biggest concern is the kids clubs and pools. Anyone that has done either of these and ALSO done DCL able to give any comparison for me????? Thanks so much.
