I sure hope this gets cleared up for you. Hopin you can cruise soon. Just to share my experience, if you don't mind....Both my husband and myself suffer from vertigo. I also had a moderate loss of hearing in one ear. But hubby was much worse off. He had Meniere’s Disease and Labyrinthitis. He had to use a wheelchair for a few days. It was scary. Well, my ENT specialist suggested that I take a vitamin called Lipo Flavonoid. For me, it worked like a charm. My hearing returned in the left ear and the dizziness stopped. He (ENT) swears by them. Not all doctors do. They are meant to be taken for inner ear disorders such as tinnitus. It worked well for my hubby as well, although he still has frequent bouts of lightheadedness and dizziness.

The Lipo Flavonoid is widely available in Canadian drug stores, but Walmart and Costco (especially) are much cheaper. I have mentioned this to anyone who complains of vertigo, and it has seemed to work to one degree or another to everyone.

I apologize if this is too personal.

Thank you all for your concern over my health. I am humbled by your comments; thank you. The last 3.5 months have been very difficult. I do have Menieres but it seems there is something else going on. I should know more in early September but have to wait until December until I can be assessed in a vestibular laboratory.

Sorry to read this, Gail.

I really appreciate this info Cathy. I will bring it to my doctor next week to see if it would be an issue with my other medications. I always get the most bizarre side effects which is why I prefer not to take any pills.

Thank you very much.

I am sorry to hear of your health problems. This must have hit as soon as you returned from your canal cruise. I hope your doctors can find how to cure or alleviate your problems.

It did. Four days later. I appreciate all the good wishes and thank you.

I am in Canada, viewing the HAL Canadian site, and I am not a travel agent, and I can plainly see that Zaandam December 20 cruise now available for booking.

You are correct. After you posted this I went to the HAL site and it was there. I was, I suppose, thinking the cost would be higher, but similar, to our last cruise. Wrong. I don't know if we could manage this one now that I am on medical leave and that is comparing an OV to the balcony.

Nope, definitely not a sell out - all categories available and I'm sure most, if not all, will still be available this time next year based on the fact that all categories still show availability for the Holiday 2015 sailing (we're booked on it so I've been watching).

And my bad - it was Seabourn that's had their 2016 holiday Antarctica itinerary available for awhile now. :o Hey, a girl can dream, right? LOL

Thanks for this...this year's voyage is $5000 less than 2016.
