How far a walk-Caves

From where the bus drops you off to the caves? Will a taxi or tour get you there closer? Is it a hard walk up and down into the caves? Really would like to try them!!!

Cab will get you closer but not by much and IMO, not worth the cost as opposed to the bus. 88 steps down which is not bad but can feel like more on the way back up.:D If you're not used to steps, you'll feel it in your calves the next day. No need to take a tour either, easy and cheaper to do on your own.
