Children and Latitude Rewards

Hi there,

I will be on a sailing with my kids in the new year and was wondering if it is possible for children to earn latitude reward points. If so, do I just sign them up like I would sign up for any other adult before the cruise and link the reservation? Or do I handle this on the ship.

 

I know I read something about this before, but I couldn't find anything via the forum search.

Latitudes numbers are automatically assigned after the first cruise for adults however with children they do not receive a latitudes status until they turn 18. NCL is supposed to keep track of their cruises and then give it at that time, but I am keeping track for my son just in case
