Hard Data on Drink Prices

Just off Majesty yesterday and there is a review forming in my head, kind of like cerebral flatulence. Look for that this coming week.

 

However I can show you the following actual numbers from my receipts.

 

THE DRINK: Jack Daniels and water, tall glass on the rocks:

 

2014 -- $7.44 including auto grat

2015 -- $9.44 " " "

2016 -- $10.56 " " "

 

Clearly they want people buying the Packages (which is fine with me) but I also think by doing so they are moving toward "ALL Inclusive" as a longer term strategy. The real effect of the package is to raise the price of the cruise by $55-$70 /day without really saying it so that they maintain the appearance of mass market pricing but move toward that all inclusive package.

 

Just for the record, the PREFERRED DRINK PACKAGE was $55.00/day on Adventure last year and $63.00 / day this trip.

 

I have ZERO argument with anything RCI (or any other company) is doing. It's their game and when they reach a point I don't want to play, I won't. I am providing this as a PSA so people can draw whatever conclusions they wish.
