Taxi Rip Off in Santiago BEWARE

Anyone going to Santiago needs to know the cheats who drive the black and gold metered taxis.

You think because they have a meter, they are honest.

This is furthest from the truth.

These guys are scam artists! They make the meter move faster than it should. We were taken for a ride with these cheats twice.

We were staying outside the major tourist area to our hotel the Renaissance.

A ride that should cost no more than 15.000 ended up costing us 27,000 thanks to tricky meter fix. BEWARE of the Santiago Taxis,

NO ONE warned us of this! I am telling you......these guys are scam artists from the get go!

Santiago should be embarrassed by them but they aren't

We have no desire to return to this country, they are cheats and no one reports the problem

I am warning you, be smart, not stupid, like me!
