Group Discounts

Hi, we have the makings of a group going to Europe next year, and what is the benefit to booking under a group rate with Celebrity?

We've heard that the minimum to qualify for a group is 8 cabins -- we will likely have more than that.

What do we get for booking a group booking? Discounts? Can we group cabins (if available) in a certain area of the ship? Any other tips/details any of our illustrious CruiseCritics can provide?

There are a number of potential benefits to group bookings. With at least 8 cabins (16 lower berths) you begin to qualify for tour conductor credits, which are complimentary berths. These can be used by one of the group, or the amount split among the entire group for a lower fare.

Often there are other perks, such as lower cabin costs, parties, wine, photos, etc. All of this is something to work with a group specialist TA about.

If you all deposit early, you can get cabin assignments near to each other.

The key is your TA to coordinate everything. Start there icon_wink.gif
