Haven suite boarding question

Recommended Posts

Hi guys, this will be the first time in a Haven suite. We always arrive to the port early, we like to get our vacation started as quickly as possible. :D The last time we were on NCL I noticed that when we were boarding there was a separate elevator with someone standing there for Haven guests. They weren't allowing anyone to the cabins at that point but I am thinking maybe Suite cabins were ready?

Thanks in advance for any help..

There is a separate check in for Haven guests. They have a special check in desk and usually a private room or private section at the pier. You will be escorted to the Haven. They usually give a tour of the Haven pool, restaurant, sundeck, etc.... Our rooms were always ready at that time.

What port are you sailing from?

Depending on the port once you get to the Haven check in area they will escort you into the building and to the Haven lounge. When they are ready they will get you all checked in and then escort you onto the ship and directly to lunch. By the time lunch is finished your room should be ready.

I noticed in Seattle they were a bit unorganized when it came to suite/haven guests but we still got on first

If you are not sure where to check in just ask for Haven check in. A few weeks back while boarding in NYC it was so crowded you couldn't see any signs for Haven. We just kept asking and being pointed in the correct direction until we could find it. Once in the lounge all of the chaos was left behind.

After checking in there was nobody available to escort us and although we could have waited, we walked on ourselves. Once on the ship they said "welcome aboard", and we said "Haven?". At that point we we're escorted to a waiting elevator where a butler took as directly to the Haven Lounge, were we were met by the Concierge team. We were told our room was ready at this time. So we were on board an checking our room out by noon, while the first groups were still boarding.

Hi, we are leaving from New York

NY port is huge and there are not a ton of Haven signs.

OK, as soon as you walk into the pier at the NY port, tell them you are in the Haven. They will escort you to a priority line then you will go thru security.

-after security

Now you will go into another area for to check in. Look for the Haven sign OR just tell anyone who is working there that you are in the Haven. They should escort you to the Haven checkin counter. Afterwards they should seat you in a roped off Haven section.

You definitely want to be sitting there because they escort the Haven passengers onto the ship FIRST. They will bring you right up to the Haven deck and give you the tour, then you can go to your cabin and have lunch in the Haven restaurant...... such a great perk to make your first day amazing!!!
