Viking optional Munich tour

Has anyone done this optional tour on Viking Grand European tour?

It leaves from Regensburg Germany. My question is if I took this 8 hour tour, what am I missing in Regensburg?

 

Have not sailed with Viking but have been several times to Regensburg and found it to be delightful! One of the nicest small cities in that area IMO.
