Front desk says they're doing a "speed recalculation". Interesting, been on many cruises and to my knowledge, we've never stopped to make a speed adjustment? We shall see. I hope I'm just ignorant and suspicious :)

Are you by any chance turning in a circle while stopped? If so, they could be "swinging the compass" where they compare the magnetic compass to the gyro compass, and this needs to be done every two years. May take an hour or two, and there will likely be a launch alongside after, to take the compass adjuster off.
