Brewscruise Posted July 1, 2016 #1 Share Posted July 1, 2016 We have just returned from a round Britain cuise on Carribbean Princess. My husband uses a wheelchair and I just felt I should flag up that accessibility was difficult as the accessible cabin doors were not self opening, neither were the accessible toilet doors and there were pretty high carpet risers and steep slopes. I guess it is because it is an older ship, it did not spoil the holiday but it was challenging and meant hubby could not go anywhere alone. Holding the door open for him as he entered the men's toilets as the disabled toilet was actually within the able bodied toilets was quite embarassing (I closed my eyes!) Enforcer Posted July 1, 2016 #2 Share Posted July 1, 2016 Hi, This is why we tend to sail on the newer ships, accessibility is much better. No need to be embarrassed, don't forget we all have to go, even the Queen trumps! :):):) Pete
