Carry-on only on Alaska train??

I just received my cruisetour documents this weekend. Hurray! In reading them, I think I understand that our luggage will go from McKinley lodge on to Fairbanks, skipping over Denali lodge, and that we'll only be allowed a small carry-on on the train. Is this correct? So, I'll have to find a way to pack in a small carry-on clothes for rafting and the Denali tour, as well as "regular" clothes for dining, etc. Any advice?

Yes, you are understanding correctly. One carry on pp is all that they will allow you to take on the train, and your luggage will be waiting for you on the other end. But I would not put in any clothes for dining that are extraordinary, it is pretty casual at Denali Lodge.

Have a great trip.
