Rare TLCOhio Posted July 23, 2018 Author #26 Share Posted July 23, 2018 If you visit that area again, take a look at Todos Santos. It is interesting. Another suggestion would be a ten day cruise that goes to LaPaz and Loreto. Both are a little out of the normal tourist loop and pretty authentic. A trip from Loreto up the mountain to San Javier Mission was,a real treat for us. Appreciate these great comments and nice follow-ups. Last night we watched on HGTV one of their House Hunters program about folks looking and buying in this scenic area. Lots of visuals from Cabo bringing back wonderful memories!! We are now back from our first river boat and Southeast Asia sailing. It was for the Mekong River!! Plus, plus. Well-pleased with these countries, especially Cambodia, plus the ship, staff, food, tours, etc. On my live/blog, there are dozens of pictures and many details to document these fun adventures and travels. Happy on the live/blog to answer any and all questions, share more info/background, etc. Now, we shift our focus and attention to mid November, 2018, for our Athens to Dubai, 20-day cruise with Oceania, including our first visits to the Holy Lands, Egypt, Middle East, etc. Many options to consider and logistics to research. Keep hearing great things from other travelers about Oceania, the staff, their food, etc. Right? THANKS! Enjoy! Terry in Ohio SE Asia/Mekong River, Etc.! Just completed a Jan. 21-Feb. 20, 2018, first adventure through Southeast Asia with stops in Hong Kong and Bangkok, before traveling all over Vietnam and Cambodia. Rare TLCOhio Posted December 2, 2023 Author #27 Share Posted December 2, 2023 From Travel+Leisure magazine late last month, they had this headline: “50 Best Places to Travel in 2024" with this portion of their sub-headline: "Beach Vibes” Here are some of their reporting highlights as to why a high ranking for Los Cabos, Mexico: “With its rugged desert-meets-ocean landscape, 350 days a year of sun, and stunning five-star resorts, Los Cabos isn’t exactly an unexpected choice for a dreamy vacation. But 2024 promises to be a big year for the Baja California destination, thanks to all the new resorts coming to Cabo del Sol, the 1,800-acre community just east of Cabo San Lucas with two miles of beach and two 18-hole golf courses. Four Seasons Resort Cabo San Lucas at Cabo Del Sol and Soho House Beach Club are expected to open in the first part of 2024."
