Steakhouse with teenager

Polo and khaki PANTS is fine. We got caught by the no shorts rule on the first night. They were very kind, and my husband went back to the room to change.

My then 14 year old LOVED the steakhouse. The staff were laughing at his food-gasms as tried his food. He's a bit of a foodie too. I actually took him back a second time during the week. He did Chef's Table with us that week too and enjoyed it as well.

Only you know your child. Sounds like you will both enjoy the experience!!

Well, dang, Carolyn - We're sailing July 2 as well but out of Baltimore. :(

We took our youngest to the steakhouse on Pride when he was 10. Polo and khakis were fine. He made it through the appetizer and salad just fine, but faltered a bit when he got to the entree - just more food than he'd ever tried to eat in one sitting. He's about to turn 17 and plays football - he'd probably finish the meal now.

A polo shirt and khaki's are fine for him, whether it's pants or shorts. I've seen people dine there with t-shirts and shorts. It doesn't bother me, come wearing with you are comfortable with. Enjoy the cruise.

When we made reservations, the hostess told us no shorts at the steakhouse, even for the first night. Now the MDR, it seems anything goes, but I'd hate to see the kid to be turned away.

He will love the experience, foodie or just a hungry teen. The amuse bouche is a nice touch. All the courses make for a long, but lovely celebration.
