Rare Selbourne Posted February 21, 2017 #2 Share Posted February 21, 2017 I'm not familiar with your cabin, but have stayed in Suites at the front of the ship. We had a side balcony (shallow, as they all are) and a large panoramic forward facing window, which we put two chairs in front of (making our own private Crows Nest) and we left the blind open at night so that we could see our approaches into ports whilst in bed! I notice that your cabin is restricted view and the balcony is steel fronted, so you will probably only see anything when out on the balcony, but it's a stunning view and, in my opinion, it's better to see where you are going than where you have been, or one side of the ship only. On all the 21 nights we have spent (over 2 cruises) at the very front of Britannia, we never felt any movement. Also, it's a very quiet part of the ship, without kids running past. You may hear some noise from the Crows Nest below when live music is playing, but it doesn't go on late. I think that you will find that, for that price range, you have made a wise choice of location, in spite of the limitations of the restricted view and steel fronted balcony.
