angel41 Posted November 21, 2005 #1 Share Posted November 21, 2005 I've been considering booking a suite. I'm looking at a couple different lines but it seems like NCL's suites are truely luxury suites. (Private balcony hot tubs, etc.) The other lines seem to just be slightly bigger cabins. Am I missing something on the other lines or is NCL really that much better in the suite department?
niborHS Posted December 5, 2005 #2 Share Posted December 5, 2005 It depends on the price you are willing to pay for the suite, and if you really want the hot tub on the balcony. You can get that on Celebrity as well. What I decided, although my husband doesn't agree because he does not handle the bills, is that I don't take the room home with us, and there are some nice suites that are comfortably roomy that are not rediculously expensive. It depends on what you feel like spending. Some of the suites with separate bedroom and hot tub come to $10,000 for the week;. We are going to end up with a suite on Princess that is less than half that.
palmtre2 Posted December 6, 2005 #3 Share Posted December 6, 2005 I agree Angel - most of the suites (reasonably priced) on other lines do seem to be glorified balcony cabins. There doesn't seem to be much difference in square footage or decor, especially decor. That's why we just booked what will probably be our only suite cabin on the NCL Spirit. It is 400 sq ft and beautiful wooden panel walls with a true living/dining area (separate from the bedroom) and a fully fitted bar. If I have to look at the same decor in a cabin, you can bet I'll go for the cheaper balcony cabin every time.
niborHS Posted December 6, 2005 #4 Share Posted December 6, 2005 You should check out Princess too. The suite we just booked on the Grand is 536 sq ft including the balcony. It has a separate bedroom area that has a curtain to enclose it.
