four of us have booked on the Azura in the Caribbean in January and have freedom dining. If another couple booked now on a saver fare and can't choose their dining option how likely would it be they could join us four at dinner instead of first or second sitting options?

If they are allocated a separate dining option you could try to get it changed onboard. Alternatively try phoning P&O and linking your booking. We linked a booking with friends and requested the same dining but didn't get it, but we were able to join them in fixed one night.
