Cookiesbykk Posted November 30, 2005 #1 Share Posted November 30, 2005 We're traveling with another couple for our first cruise in Jan. on the Grand out of Galveston. We're flying into HOU with an ETA of 11:15am. We have tentatively booked transfers directly through Princess but I'm now wondering if it would be more cost/time effective to take a limo, taxi or rent a car... Any advice would be appreciated! Karen & Dennis Posted December 2, 2005 #3 Share Posted December 2, 2005 Since this is your first cruise - stick with the transfers this time. Especially if you are sailing the same day you get to the airport at 11 am. If you are using the Princess shuttle they will make sure you get there on time. We took the Grand out of Galveston last December and went a day early (no flight could get us there in time the same day). We stayed overnight near the airport in Houston - went back to the airport sailing day - and took the shuttle. We have sailed many many times and do the shuttle through the cruise line about half the time. Use the shuttle service this time - then evaluate for your next cruise (and believe me there will be another) :) Have a wonderful time!
