TXMom05 Posted August 18, 2017 #1 Share Posted August 18, 2017 Hoping to take the Coral Garden/Shark Ray/Cay Caulker Island Snorkel excursion in November. Unfortunately I'm on a medication that makes me more sensitive to the sun, thus I can get burnt easily. I will of course take precautions and wear sunscreen, hat, long sleeved swim shirt, etc. But I admit I am worried 4-5 hours out in the open, even with sunscreen, is just going to be too much and I will be a crispy critter. :( So I'm hoping to find an excursion provider whose boats have some shade, even just a canopy, that pick up at the terminal? Anybody have recommendations? I realize they may have to put a canopy down when traveling at higher speeds to the island but was just hoping it would be put up at least some of the time. Or are all the excursion boats open? I asked Shore Excursioneer but they haven't given an answer yet. Coral Breeze said none of their boats have shade. :( Carnival offers this excursion but I don't know what company they use? Also, if anyone has taken this excursion through Carnival, do they pick you up at the ship or at the terminal? Thanks for any input!
